goofballs

Kristin is such a goofball. When she is preoccupied with something and you call her name, she always responds with this face:

This weekend was a hectic one. Two back to back birthday parties. One was a farm theme, so this is what Selina came up with as an outfit for Kayla. I drew in the rosy cheeks and freckles with some lipstick and washable marker.

Just a quick update on the books. Océ has generously offered to drop ship the books for me, so I'll be submitting the names and addresses to them shortly. Yay!

  3. Awesome stuff as always.

You seem to work quite often with a beautydish. Do you do that because it's more convenient than a small softbox for instance?

The thing is, I have just received my PW's and decided to use them as often as possible. It's always a bit of a hassle though using umbrellas or softboxes, particularly with fast moving kids. That's why I am interested in your experience.

  4. Hi Steven,

I find the beauty dish since it doesn't blow away as easily, and it covers a pretty good area. Hope that helps : )

    Cheers,

    Jason

  9. Hi Jason,

I've got another question for you (hope I'm not too pushy).
I'm considering buying a beautydish but there is so much information to be found I can't quite see the wood for the trees.
I thought of making one of my own (the strobist DIY-way) but dreaded making a grid as well.
I found an interesting offer on viewfinderphotography (http://www.viewfinderphotography.co.uk/product_view.php?prod_id=478) but I'm not quite sure whether this one will be big enough.

Did you make your own beautydish or did you buy one? If you bought one, would you mind telling us which one exactly? I'm particularly interested in the size.

I hope I'm not too being rude for asking. If you can't find the time to answer my question, no problem of course.

    Kind regards,

    Steven

  10. Hi Steven,

Not at all, I love sharing my knowledge as much as I can. The item you linked looks interesting, but I don't think it would be the same as using a much larger dish. The beauty dish I own is this one: http://www.white-lightning.com/22r.html

It's 22 inches, and quite the pain to bring with me to shoots. Hope that helps : )

    Cheers,

    Jason
